Tracy Ayling KC elected as Inner Temple’s Reader Elect for 2026

Chambers is delighted and extremely proud to announce that Tracy Ayling KC has been elected as the Reader-Elect of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple for 2026.  The election means that Tracy will be the Inn’s Reader in 2027 and the Inn’s Treasurer in 2028.

The roles of Treasurer and Reader, which date back to the 16th century, are the most senior roles within the historic Inns of Court (akin to non-executive chairman and deputy respectively).   Tracy’s election is particularly historic, as it means that she will be the third consecutive female leader of the Inn (following Helen Davies KC and Lady Justice Juliet May). 

Tracy, who is recognised by the legal directories as one of the foremost silks at the criminal Bar, will continue to accept instructions and practise during her period of office.
