Tracy Ayling KC and Lucy Sweetland prosecute nursery nurse convicted of assaulting 21 children

Tracy Ayling KC and Lucy Sweetland, instructed by the CPS Complex Case Unit, prosecuted Roksana Lecka, a nursery worker who was convicted of assaulting or ill-treating 21 babies and toddlers in her care at two nurseries in West London over a period of several months in 2023-24. The defendant pleaded guilty to seven counts and, after a six-week trial at Kingston Crown Court, was convicted by the jury of a further 14 counts of Child Cruelty.

The defendant will be sentenced on 26^th September 2025.
