Tracy Ayling KC and Alastair Smith successfully prosecute plastic surgeon for attempted murder of colleague

Tracy Ayling KC and Alastair Smith, instructed by CPS Nottingham, successfully prosecuted Dr Peter Brooks for two counts of attempted murder and attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

Dr Brooks absented himself from his trial and went on hunger strike. He also sacked his legal team. He is due to be sentenced on 3 June 2025.
