Tomas McGarvey’s client was unanimously acquitted following a 6-day trial at Inner London Crown Court. Tomas’s client was charged with Rape, Assault by Penetration, s18, Strangulation, and Controlling and Coercive behaviour. Tomas made a successful submission of no case to answer in relation to the Controlling and Coercive behaviour count due to a lack of evidence of fear of violence. Tomas was instructed by Rakesh Bhasin of Edwards Duthie Shamash solicitors.
