Thomas Daniel represented a Metropolitan Police officer, who was alleged to have assaulted a member of the public and then taken various dishonest attempts to ‘cover up’ his actions. The Panel found as a matter of fact that the officer did not commit the alleged assault and that he had not breached any professional standards after the event. Accordingly, the Panel did not find the officer had committed either gross misconduct or even simple misconduct.
Tom was instructed by Sam Haldane and Riaz Jhugroo of JMW Solicitors
