Successful appeal clarifies the defence of insanity

Sam Thomas’ submissions were accepted by the Administrative Court (Irvin LJ; Knowles J), who indicated that the law, previously held as correct for twenty years, should no longer be followed (See: Aline Loake v Crown Prosecution Service [2017] EWHC 2855 (Admin)).
