St Christopher's Through The Years

St Christophers C of E High School  - Through The Years

Celebrating 60 Years!

This year, St Christopher’s is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary as a school and the first major event to commemorate this incredible landmark is the Friends of St Christopher’s Christmas Market. The event, to be held on Friday 7th December from 6pm – 9.30pm, promises to be an evening of festive fun, artisan craft stalls, live entertainment, seasonal food and a wide variety of drinks, both hot and cold. The whole community of Accrington and beyond is warmly invited to visit St Christopher’s and get involved with an evening that will truly usher in the festive season by creating some Christmas magic.

Further to the market itself, the school is opening up its photographic archives for the very first time, with an extensive visual gallery of images from each of the last six, illustrious decades at St Christopher’s. Featuring a huge array of photographs, which chart the history of the many thousands of young people who have passed through the school, there will be something of interest to anyone with a link to St Christopher’s. The school is throwing its doors open to pupils past, present and future, along with their families in an unprecedented manner, and hopes to see groups of former pupils visiting to revel in the nostalgia of the event, as well as picking up some beautiful, handcrafted Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

The video above, exclusively produced for St Christopher’s by 2BR (who’ll also be at the Christmas Market with the brilliant Prize Pod!) is a taster of what people can expect to see in the archives and we hope that you all enjoy it!
