Sports Law: Jim Sturman KC acts in successful FA Disciplinary Appeal

Jim Sturman, instructed by Katie Smith and Stephen Sampson of Squire Patton Boggs, acted for Southampton FC in an appeal to an FA Appeal Board against a fine imposed by an FA Regulatory Commission for a breach of FA Rule E 21 (failing to control spectators) at the end of the EFL Championship Play Off Semi-Final in May 2024. The appeal was allowed and the fine was reduced from £75,000 to £45,000.
