Shauna Ritchie prosecuted a 21-year-old man given a 16 year extended prison sentence at the Central Criminal Court on 10th July 2019. The Defendant pleaded guilty to five offences of causing GBH with intent on what would have been the first day of his trial in June 2019. The Defendant was drunk when he drove a car in to pedestrians outside a bar in Stockwell, South London on December 2017 in revenge for having earlier been refused entry. The car he was driving mounted the pavement and struck five people at 38mph, causing very serious injury.
