Sam Thomas, instructed by Charlotte Davison of Paul Robinson Solicitors, successfully defended, at a Court Martial, X who had been accused of rape. The allegation revolved around whether two soldiers had engaged in consensual sex following a Troop social event. The Court Martial Board concluded that the complainant had either consented to digital penetration, or that X had had a reasonable belief in consent (Count 1). X was then subsequently acquitted of rape (Count 2).
