Rhys Rosser, instructed by Harsha Rupasinghe and Robin Younghusband of Lloyds PR Solicitors, has successfully opposed an application by the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to impose a Slavery and Trafficking Risk Order on XY.
XY is alleged to have been a managerial figure in a London-wide sexual trafficking organisation who arranged the travel and prostitution of various victims. Following a three day hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court, the District Judge agreed with Rhys’ submission that the order sought was not necessary or proportionate and so refused the application.
