Olivia Rawlings successfully persuaded the Court of Appeal to reduce her client’s sentence for an offence of s.18 GBH committed against a police officer.
Olivia submitted that the Crown Court Judge had adopted too high a starting point whilst sentencing and had failed to account for the mitigation which was available to her client, in particular his mental health.
The Court of Appeal reduced her client’s sentence from 4 years and 9 months down to 3 years.
Olivia was instructed by Mick Rees of Levy & Co Solicitors.
