Nursery worker prosecuted by Tracy Ayling KC and Lucy Sweetland sentenced for child cruelty
In June 2025, Tracy Ayling KC and Lucy Sweetland successfully prosecuted Roksana Lecka for 21 offences of cruelty towards babies and toddlers in her care at two nurseries in West London.
On Friday 26th September 2025, the defendant was sentenced to eight years in custody for what the judge described as “multiple acts of gratuitous violence” which “can properly be characterised as sadistic.”
Tracy and Lucy were instructed by Gemma Burns at the Complex Casework Unit of the Crown Prosecution Service.
