Non custodial sentence in fatal collision

Alex Stein secured a non-custodial sentence in a tragic death by careless driving case. Henry Hope-Frost a well-known motorsport journalist died in March 2018 following a road traffic collision. The driver, Mr M had strayed onto the opposing carriageway and collided with Mr Hope-Frost. The sentencing judge accepted defence submissions that the case fell into the lowest category of causing death by careless driving and imposed a non-custodial sentence.
