Nick Bonehill successfully defends sexual assaults
Nick Bonehill, instructed by Aqsa Farooq from JSP solicitors, successfully defended a client accused of sexual assaults on two 13 year old complainants. The prosecution alleged that in 2022, the defendant drunkenly barged into a football match in which the young girls were playing and sexually assaulted them. Nick cross examined the 2 complainants (and also a further witness) in October 2023 under the section 28 provisions. Their recorded evidence, including Nick’s cross-examination was played to the jury at trial, before the jury unanimously acquitted Nick’s client of both counts that he faced.
