Stanley out of the Checkatrade trophy

Stanley are out of the Checkatrade Trophy.

An 88th minute goal from Blackpool was enough to end the Reds run this season.

It had been on a kinfe edge until that point with match tied at 1-1.

It was a bright start for the Reds but it was Blackpool who took a first-half lead before Erico Sousa levelled minutes later.

As the game appeared to be heading for a penalty shoot-out Max Clayton popped up at the back post to stab home his first Blackpool goal and secure his side victory.
