A body found in Darwen on Wednesday is confirmed to be that of missing woman Sandra Chadwick.

Sandra, 64, was last seen in January, at her home address on Hilton Road.

The body was recovered out of water just on Union Road early on Wednesday morning (6/3/19).

Police confirm it's Sandra, and her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Sandra's family have been informed and are being supported at this difficult time.

Our thoughts remain with Sandra's loved ones.

Lancashire Police say:

"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.

"Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to share our appeals during the time Sandra was missing".
