Man falls onto Preston train tracks

preston train station 3

Published by Laura Pratt at 9:41am 5th January 2019

A man fell onto the train tracks at Preston Railway Station yesterday (4/1/19).

Luckily - trains were stopped from coming into the platform, and he wasn't electrocuted or hit by a train.

Firefighters were called just after 5.30pm to help bring the man back onto the platform.

Paramedics then took him to Royal Preston Hospital with a suspected broken arm and leg.

Emergency services were there for around 40 minutes, with two of the station's platforms blocked.

Services resumed at around 6.30pm.
