Police want to find potential witnesses to assault

Police are trying to find five people who could be potential witnesses to an assault in Preston.

They were called just after 4.30am on Thursday 20th December after a 29-year-old man was found with a head injury outside the Dog Inn on Church Street.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Now police are trying to find these people in case they saw anything:

A 53-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault but have both now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

DC Dan Armstrong from Preston CID, said:

"Our investigation into this incident continues and we need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward.

“If you recognise yourself or perhaps someone you know in the images, please make contact with us at your earliest opportunity."
