Vivienne Westwood arrives at Lancashire fracking site

Vivienne Westwood at preston fracking site in Lancashire

(Updated 3:17pm 16th October 2018)

Fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has arrived at the fracking site on Preston New Road.

She was back over here in Lancashire in 2015 - when Lancashire County Council voted against the process. However that motion was then overruled by the high courts.

Protesters against the shale gas company are still standing their ground outside the site - even more so today with the arrival of such a famous face. Campaigners hope, with Vivienne standing beside them, their voices will be heard more than ever as fracking continues to take place in Lancashire.
