Man's body found in Oswaldtwistle

police officers

Published by Laura Pratt at 1:26pm 15th October 2018 (Updated 2:21pm 15th October 2018)

A man's body has been found inside a building in Oswaldtwistle.

He was found this morning (15/1/0/18) at 9.20am in a house on Byron Close.

His death is not thought to be suspicious and a file has been passed onto the coroner.

It's believed he may have been involved in a minor collision outside of Tesco Express yesterday afternoon.

For this reason, closures were in place on Union Road at the junction of Harvey Street and Rhyddings Street earlier, whilst enquiries took place. These have since been lifted.

Local residents were thanked for their continued patience.

If you have any information that could help, call 101 quoting incident reference LC-20181015-0336.
