(Updated 11:27am 8th October 2018)

A boy missing in Blackburn has been found seriously injured.

Nine year old Leon Langford hadn't been seen since yesterday afternoon when he'd been playing with friends at the Ivy Street Play Park.

They all returned home safely but Leon didn't.

A huge search was conducted overnight, with the nine-year-old being found in a factory this morning.

Police were called to the Infirmary area of town just after 8am after members of staff found him on the floor.

Leon was seriously injured and it's believed he's fallen through the factory roof.

A police cordon remains in place around the factory on Rockfield Street, whilst a drone has been flying to take in the scene of the factory roof.

It's thought Leon has been taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
