Latest Northern Rail strike called off

northern rail train

Published by Alice Sofield at 10:27am 16th July 2018

A planned strike by rail workers at Northern has been called off so talks can be held.

Members of the RMT union were due to walk out on Saturday in a row over the role of guards on trains.

It would have been the latest in a series of strikes in the past year.

Northern operates many rail services across Lancashire

On strike days, the rail company is only able to operate a limited service.
