Here's what's happened in Lancashire this week

Some dreadfully sad news as police named a man who died after getting out of a moving taxi in Burnley.

40 year old Paul Burrows from Brierfield died after the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning (15th April).

He was travelling in a Toyota Avensis taxi got along Church Street and sustained serious injury after landing in the middle of the road.

Paul’s family have paid tribute to him saying “Paul was a much loved and caring husband, father, son and brother who will be missed more than words can say and who will be in our hearts forever.”

Police are appealing for witnesses.

That as another two people were left with serious injuries after being knocked down on Yorkshire street in Burnley.

It happened at around 12:30am (Sunday April 15), when a man and woman in their 30s were crossing the road when they were struck by a white Fiat Panda.

The woman suffered a serious head injury and the man suffered injuries to his shoulder, elbow and ankle.

There long delays on the M65 on Thursday evening following a 5 vehicle collision.

It happened during rush hour at Junction 9 for Burnley.

One person was taken to hospital after being cut from a vehicle by fire crews.

We heard from the family of Lancashire man who are raising money and awareness of brain cancer.

Keira Crossley spoke to 2BR about her brother Damian who died from brain cancer just 18 weeks after being diagnosed.

Keira and Lisa will take part in the London marathon tomorrow (22nd April).

Neither of them has ever trained for something like this before, but say they had to do it.

That's because it was on the day of the London Marathon last year when Damian first got his diagnosis.

In fact, the family were watching it on TV as they sat in the waiting room for his results.

And Keira told her brother she would run the Marathon for him in 2018.

And it was a week to remember for Accrington Stanley.

That was the moment fans celebrated with their heroes after a 2-0 win over Yeovil confirmed their promotion to League One.

Some have called it miracle, but John Coleman says he never had any doubts revealing "This is was our aim at the beginning of the season. To get automatic promotion, not the play offs, promotion and everyone bought into that dream".
