"He was too good for this world"

Ethan Hunt Burnley lad sepsis

3:34pm 13th March 2018
(Updated 4:50pm 13th March 2018)

Ethan Hunt has sadly passed away, after his short battle with sepsis.

The sixteen-year-old was diagnosed with the condition at the start of February, after symptoms which seemed to point to a cold.

He fell into a coma, which he tragically never came out of.

Both of Ethan's legs had to be amputated at the knee, due to the condition.

He was being treated at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

Ethan's parents and sister Jodie had spent every day at his bedside as he fought.

Jodie-Leigh had also been fundraising, along with others, to get a new pair of legs for him when he recovered.

But sadly, she had to post this update today (13/3/18) instead;

Ethan's school - Bessed Trinity RCC in Burnley - have also released a tribute;

Our thoughts are will all of Ethan's family, friends and loved ones at what will undoubtedly be an incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Ethan.
