Councillors have rejected Booth's application to start selling newspapers in Barrowford.

A meeting between the Barrowford and Western Parishes Area Committee saw the supermarket's application rejected.

Booths was built in the village three years ago, on the condition they wouldn't sell newspapers.

Their application to change that stirred up local support.

2BR spoke to Julie before the meeting;

But it's not the end of the road!

The application will now go to the Development Management Committee later this month.
