6 year old injured in collision

A 6 year old was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision.

The youngster was injured yesterday afternoon on Whalley Road in Clayton-le-moors.

It happened at around 4:25pm close to the Hare and Hounds pub.

A police spokesperson told 2BR they recieved a call from the ambulance service to reports that a child had been knocked over.

He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
