A woman from Accrington has been missing for nine days.

38-year-old Catherine Allsager hasn't been heard from since Friday 4th August at 5am.

She made a phone call - but no one's had any contact with her since.

It's also not known where the phone call was made from.

Catherine's known to have connections to Gorton in Manchester and might have travelled there by bus or train.

She could also be in east Lancashire - or as far as Margate or Kent.

Sergeant Sean Frodsham, of Hyndburn Police, said:

"We are extremely worried about Catherine and would like to locate her as soon as possible.

"Anybody who has seen her, or knows where she may be, is asked to contact us immediately".

Catherine is described as white, of stocky build, with blonde hair which has red tips dyed into it.

Anyone with information can contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting log number 225 of today (August 4th).
