Sophie Lancaster: A mother's memories

Sylvia Lancaster

6:00am 7th August 2017
(Updated 6:49pm 9th August 2017)

This week marks 10 years since a brutal attack on a young couple in a Bacup park.

Sophie Lancaster and Rob Maltby were targeted simply for the way they looked.

Both of them were so badly beaten that they fell into comas.

Sophie never woke up.

All this week we will be looking at what happened to them, and what has changed in the years since.
