School funding hitting staff and pupils

The pressure being put on teachers and pupils in schools across Lancashire is getting too much to cope with.

Now there's warnings that further cuts will see staffing levels affected.

That would mean bigger class sizes and less teachers or teaching assistants.

We've been hearing warnings from the National Union of Teachers that it would have a huge impact on mental health if it went ahead.

We've been speaking to Sam Ud-din from the NUT.

He says cuts are making education more about success rates and less about enjoyment for youngsters.

And that's affecting teachers - and the children - mentally.
