Thieves steal dead husband's bikes

dead husband bike

6:36pm 19th May 2017

Thieves have stolen bikes belong to a woman's dead husband.

The widow in Leyland has been left heartbroken after they stole three of his bicycles.

She was planning on giving them to her young son so he could follow in the footsteps of his keen-cyclist dad.

It happened during a spate of burglaries in the Parish Gardens area of the town.

Now officers are telling us all the bikes are quite distinctive.

Here's the area that was targeted:

One's TREK Fuel Mountain Bike, dark orange and white.

Another is a Carrera road bike in Black and White with one red tyre and the third is a Claude Butler mountain bike, all black with white writing were taken.

South Ribble Police are trying to track them down.

If you know where they might be call 101 quoting log reference LC-20170518-0236.
