Woman freed from car crash

A woman had to be freed from a car crash in Leyland.

Firefighters had to get her out of the wreckage after the collision on Centurion Way.

Police have closed off the road in both directions.

Officers rushed out to the scene at around 4pm today (18th May).

A Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Qashaqi were involved in the incident.

Both drivers were treated by paramedics and have been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

It's causing major delays in the area and drivers are being asked to find alternative routes.
