Woman trapped after a car crashed with a tractor

Woman was trapped after a crash between a car and tractor in Blackburn.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue had to cut her free from the collision this morning on Horden View (21st April).

Two fire engines from Blackburn rushed out to the scene at around 8am where they were helped out by specialist colleagues from Chorley.

They used hydraulic equipment to get her out safely.

She's now been rushed to hospital to get medical treatment.

The road is still closed but traffic is coping well for now and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

Fire crews have cleared up the fuel spillage from the road.
