Eight people charged for human trafficking

Eight people have been charged with human trafficking.
Lancashire Police launched an major operation into this serious crime and raided homes throughout our county.
They executed warrants at address in Blackburn, Blackpool and Preston on Wednesday (19th April).
Last night (20th April) officers charged the seven men and the one woman they arrested.
Five of those lived in Lancashire while the rest came from outside our area.
They've been charged with conspiring to traffic for sexual exploitation and conspiring to incite prostitution for gain.
They'll now appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court this morning (21st April).

The charges are part of the Operation Proteus, which has been working to find criminals dealing in human trafficking and slavery and offer help to victims.
Razvan Mitru, 30, of Arkwright Road, Preston; Ionut Dogaru, 28, of Whitebirk Road, Blackburn; Alexandru Baltoiu, 24, of St Margaret’s Road, Evesham; Marius Trasca, 29, of Watt Street, Gateshead; Marian Diaconu, 25, of Arborfield Close, Slough; Andra Amzulin, 27, of Station Road, Blackpool; Claudiu-Nicusor Vlaescu, 31, of Whitebirk Road, Blackburn and Traian Gvarila, 31, of Victoria Place, Preston have been charged with conspiring to traffic for sexual exploitation and conspiring to incite prostitution for gain.
