BREAKING: Murder investigation in Preston

A murder investigation's been launched in Preston.

It's after the death of a woman in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called at shortly after 2am today (Wednesday, February 15) to an address on Chatsworth Street in the city.

A 42 year old woman was found with a serious head injury.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she later died.

A 52 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

Enquiries are on-going.
