Following a four-day trial in Chelmsford Crown Court, Molly’s client was unanimously acquitted of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and a second count of possession of a bladed article. The defendant was alleged to have stabbed a woman in the face with a pair of scissors following an argument about the theft of a phone.
Notwithstanding the complainant’s positive identification of the defendant by a distinctive facial tattoo his defence of mistaken identity was successful.
Molly was instructed by Ian Clift of JSP Solicitors.
