Michael Levy represented an officer cadet in respect of Assault charges at a Court Martial in Bulford. The cadet was about to begin his training at Sandhurst and was on a training exercise in Canada.
During the course of an evening out with a group of other cadets, it was said that he assaulted the most senior soldier present, who had been in charge of the group. If convicted, he would not have been able to take up his place at Sandhurst and, in addition, would have had to pay back all of his university fees, having been sponsored by the Army.
After a hearing, in which evidence was given by video-link from Canada, he was found Not Guilty of all charges and is now allowed to continue with his intended career.
