Sam Arnott, a semi-professional Rugby player for Lydne RFC and former England schoolboy, was yesterday cleared of Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm on an opponent in the course of a game. He was alleged to have punched an opponent in an off the ball incident, breaking his jaw. It was said to have been in revenge for an earlier tackle.
Represented by Michael Levy, he was unanimously acquitted at the Gloucester Crown Court.
