Kieran Vaughan KC represents serial killer, Steve Wright

Kieran Vaughan KC represented Steve Wright, who pleaded guilty this week at the Old Bailey to the kidnap and murder of Victoria Hall and the attempted kidnap of Emily Doherty. 

Although Mr Wright was already serving a whole-life sentence for five other murders of which he had previously been convicted, Mr Justice Bennathan was persuaded not to impose further whole-life terms but rather to impose a life sentence with a minimum term.  Mr Wright was sentenced to a minimum term of 40 years imprisonment for the murder of Victoria Hall, with concurrent sentences of 12 years for the kidnap of Victoria Hall and 9 years for the attempted kidnap of Emily Doherty.
