Jim appeared in the High Court for the joint administrators of Petropavlovsk PLC who were successful in seeking a direction under the Insolvency Act for liberty to proceed with the sale of the company business to UMMC-Invest. Jim addressed the court on the law relating to sanctions, the application of the relevant sanctions legislation and why the transaction did not fall foul of the Russian sanctions regime.
