Following a five-week trial of five Defendants, Jessica, instructed by Ian Clift of JSP Solicitors, secured the acquittal of her client who was accused of a conspiracy to facilitate illegal immigration. The Crown’s case involved a five-year investigation leading to the Defendants being charged. The Prosecution case consisted of over 160,000 pages of evidence including call data, cell site, banking transactions and international travel documents. It was alleged that the illegal immigration involved carriage from Iraq, through Europe to Calais and on to the United Kingdom in three separate occasions. Three other Defendants were convicted.
