Fred Batstone successful in grievous bodily harm trial

Fred Batstone, instructed by Antoinette Woghiren and Demi Azzopardi of A & A Law, represented a defendant acquitted of section 20 grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm.
The defendant was an in-patient at a mental health unit at the time of the allegation. The Prosecution case was that he had slammed a door on a nurse’s finger, causing the tip of her finger to be amputated.
The jury at Kingston Crown Court returned not guilty verdicts on both counts following the two day trial.
