Fraud by abuse of position acquittal

Jonas Milner, instructed by Wayne Horner of Setfords Solicitors, secured the acquittal of a former Council Tax Enforcement manager accused of fraud by misrepresentation. The prosecution, brought by Cotswold District Council, was the first prosecution of a council member of staff for fraud by abuse of position, and attracted national reporting (see: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-58876169). The jury unanimously acquitted him of all counts after 15 minutes of deliberations
