Dan Santos-Costa successfully defended a man charged with rape.
Dan represented a 23-year-old man, 19-years-old at the time of the alleged offence of the rape of a 15-year-old girl in his bedroom after inviting her over to his house on social media.
The complainant did not report the allegation to the Police until over a year after the incident. The prosecution case relied on the complainant’s account, together with Snapchat videos of the defendant taken by the complainant, and ‘recent complaint’ evidence.
Following a six-day trial at Inner London Crown Court, the defendant was acquitted by the jury.
