Craig Rush and Alex Davidson, instructed by Michael Rees of Levy & Co solicitors, represented a man acquitted of conspiracy to import 15 tonnes of cocaine and transferring criminal property. The case was part of the National Crime Agency’s ongoing investigation into users of the EncroChat network. The Crown’s case was that the man acquired a vessel to make a transatlantic voyage with cocaine onboard and agreed to be the vessel’s skipper.
After a four-month trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, Craig and Alex’s client was the only defendant of the seven on trial acquitted of all counts.
