Eleanor Lucas and Cathryn Sutcliffe, both instructed by Laura Smith of Cartwright King, successfully defended two British Army soldiers at a contested trial at Bulford Court Martial Centre.
Eleanor’s client faced charges of racially aggravated battery, conduct prejudicial to good order and service discipline, two charges of religiously aggravated battery and three charges of battery.
Cathryn’s client faced charges of racially aggravated battery, conduct prejudicial to good order and service discipline and two charges of battery.
The board returned not guilty verdicts in relation to all nine charges faced by the soldiers.
