Claire Mawer acted for GR who was acquitted of causing death by careless driving following a four-day trial at the Central Criminal Court that received media attention. GR was alleged to have driven carelessly when, during the course of performing deliveries at a hospital in West London, a doctor stepped into the blind spot behind his van and was killed as the van reversed.
