One of the biggest investigations into the alleged abuse of teenage Army recruits in Britain has collapsed after legal argument. Christopher Martin acted for Sergeant Anthony Owen, one of sixteen instructors at the Army Foundation College, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, who were accused of slapping and punching 28 recruits.
The Service Prosecuting Authority yesterday offered no evidence in respect of the “seriously flawed” RMP (Royal Military Police) investigation into claims of abuse by Army instructors.
