Christopher Martin’s client acquitted of child sex offences

Christopher Martin, instructed by Ian Clift and Kim Edgley of JSP Solicitors, successfully defended a man charged with multiple sexual offences against his young stepdaughter which were alleged to have been committed over a four year period.

The child, who was under 13 years old at the time of the trial, alleged that she had been systematically sexually abused by her step-father when she was aged between 7 and 11 years old.

Following a 6-day trial at Basildon Crown Court, Chris’ client was unanimously acquitted.
