Christine Agnew KC, instructed by Edward Grange and Anna Rothwell from Corker Binning, represented Mikayla Hayes who was charged with Causing Death by Careless Driving. The Crown’s case was that Ms Hayes had caused the death of a motorcyclist whilst driving carelessly. She pulled out of a junction onto a main A road and did not see the motorcyclist. Having heard evidence from eye witnesses, forensic collision investigators and a psychologist the jury unanimously acquitted Ms Hayes.
